We’ve taken many trips around the Northwest, lots during “Pandemic Isolation.” Here are those that included trips to the Oregon Coast<\/mark><\/strong>, which has become one of our favorite places for a Getaway. Adventures to the Oregon Coast at the mouth of the Columbia (several) overlap Adventures on the Columbia River. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first<\/mark><\/strong> Lizzy trip to the Oregon Coast! A 3 week trip on the Pacific Coast of SW Washington & NW Oregon, heading back north inland, we had 3<\/mark> <\/strong>stays on the <\/strong>Oregon Coast: Fort Stevens<\/mark><\/strong> <\/strong>(home of the Wreck of the Peter Iredale<\/em>), Nehalem Bay<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong>, and South Beach State Parks<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A 3-week trip on the lower Columbia River and Pacific Coast. The last 2 stops were revisits to Nehalem Bay<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong>,<\/strong> and Fort Stevens State Parks<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, on the Oregon Coast. We had fallen in love with the small Oregon beach town of Manzanita (on Nehalem Bay) on our previous trip.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A short week with Alyson, near Astoria, Oregon, including another revisit to (but not stay at) Fort Stevens State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, and first visit together to Cannon Beach.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A 5-day trip to Nehalem Bay State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, just hanging out and visiting nearby Manzanita, OR<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A 2+ week trip on the Oregon Coast, starting the farthest south we’ve camped, at Cape Blanco State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, then revisits to South Beach<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> and Nehalem Bay State Parks<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>. Visits to many new sites, and lots of Lighthouses<\/mark><\/strong>…most of the Lighthouses on the Oregon Coast, actually.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
