We’ve taken many trips around the Northwest, lots during “Pandemic Isolation.” Here are those that included trips to the Columbia River<\/mark><\/strong> (including it’s mouth, on the Pacific). It has become one of our favorite places for a Getaway. Adventures to the mouth of the Columbia overlap Adventures on the Oregon and Washington Coasts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 3-week trip on the Pacific Coast of SW Washington & NW Oregon, and one stop inland, heading back north. We had 2 <\/strong>stays at the Mouth of the Columbia River: Cape Disappointment State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong> in Washington and Fort Stevens State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> in Oregon.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A 3-week trip on the lower Columbia River and Pacific Coast. Our 1st stop was at Maryhill State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, on the north side of the Columbia, just east of the Columbia River Gorge NRA<\/strong>. The 2nd & 3rd stops were revisits to Cape Disappointment<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> and Fort Stevens State Parks<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, at the mouth of the Columbia.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A 3-week trip to <\/em><\/strong>Central Oregon started with camping at Viento State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> (with Friends), on the Oregon side of the Columbia River, towards the eastern end of the Columbia River Gorge NRA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A short week with Alyson, at the Astoria KOA<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, including visits into Astoria on the Columbia, and another revisit to Fort Stevens State Park<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> (across the street).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
