She met us in camp and we took a day trip north to a 3 sites along the <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong>Delaware River<\/strong><\/strong><\/mark> and had a nice lunch in Milford (and it only hit the mid-80&#8217;s, partly sunny)!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"font-weight: bold; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); color: rgb(29, 106, 6);\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>1<\/strong><\/mark> new <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">National Park Site<\/mark><\/strong>, <mark style=\"font-weight: bold; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); color: rgb(29, 106, 6);\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>1<\/strong><\/mark> Revisit and a <strong>National Historic Site:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong>Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area<\/strong><\/strong><\/mark> (#16-Revisit), where we drove north on 209 through the <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong>National Recreation Ar<\/strong>ea<\/strong><\/mark>, stopped at <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Dingman Falls Visitor Center<\/strong><\/mark> and took the short walk to <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong>Dingman Falls<\/strong><\/strong><\/mark>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grey Towers National Historic Site<\/strong>, home of Gifford Pinchot, the &#8220;Father of Forestry&#8221;, first chief of the US Forest Service, an important figure in the American Conservation Movement.  He led the US Forest Service for &#8220;The greatest good for the greatest number of people in the long run&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong>Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River<\/strong><\/strong><\/mark> (#249), for short visits to the the <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Zane Grey Museum<\/strong><\/mark>, the <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong>Roebling&#8217;s Delaware Aqueduct<\/strong><\/strong><\/mark> and the <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong>Roebling Bridge Tollhouse<\/strong><\/strong>.<strong> <\/strong><\/mark><br><br><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">WHO KNEW?!?<\/mark><\/strong> The Aqueduct is the oldest wire cable suspension bridge in the United States.  It was built as an <strong>aqueduct to carry boats across the Delaware River<\/strong> for the Delaware and Hudson Canal.
