March 17-May 2, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mid-March we aborted our Adventures to Self-Isolate<\/strong> in Lizzy<\/span><\/em><\/strong> for awhile in Apache Junction…until…we hightailed it home, arriving May 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Starting March 17, due the Covid-19 Pandemic<\/strong>, we canceled the rest of our reservations for our Southern Arizona Adventure<\/a> and beyond, and extended our stay at Apache Junction, a week at a time. Gail spent time organizing photos. Mark finished his PE Continuing Education Credits ahead of time. We exercised with calisthenics in Lizzy<\/span><\/strong><\/em> and walking\/running around the campground.  We also spent time watching antenna TV, chatting with friends & family, baking lemon bars. After 41 days, it was time to leave, when the temps broke 100. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hightail it Home Route<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Starting April 27, we drove home via I-10 <\/strong>& I-5<\/strong>. We averaged ~300 miles \/<\/strong> 6 hours<\/strong> a day for the 5 days we drove, taking one break day after the 1st 2 long days of driving. We stayed at KOAs along the Route, including one in Kent, WA, near home. That gave us a couple of days to clean Lizzy<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>, inside & out, before taking her to Storage. We spent evenings at home with Alyson, and the nights in Kent, to start early in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
