Since Helena, we&#8217;ve spent 2 nights in Hardin, MT and 2 in Casper, WY (cover photo is our arrival in Wyoming).  That is the last we&#8217;ll see of <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Montana<\/mark><\/strong> this trip, but we will be back to <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Wyoming<\/mark><\/strong> a couple of more times.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We did have 2 days for exploring, visiting<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/mark><\/strong>from Hardin on June 9, in Casper, yesterday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Pompey&#8217;s Pillar National Monument<\/mark><\/strong>, under the Bureau of Land Management, is on the banks of the Yellowstone River\u202fwith\u202fa massive sandstone outcrop\u202fcovering about 2 acres at its\u202fbase and rising\u202f120 feet high. \u202fHundreds of markings, petroglyphs, and inscriptions left by visitors including William Clark and the Lewis and Clark Expedition have transformed this geologic phenomenon into a living journal of the American West<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Bighorn Canyon NRA-Yellowtail Dam<\/mark><\/strong> (#127-Revisit), well, sort of a revisit.  We had visited <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Bighorn Canyon NRA<\/mark><\/strong>, Southern District in Wyoming in 2018.  In the Northern District, we explored <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Yellowtail Dam<\/mark><em> <\/em><\/strong>from downstream and upstream, driving the scenic road through the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Crow Indian Reservation<\/mark><\/strong>, and doing a couple of hikes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">National Historic Trails Interpretive Center<\/mark><\/strong>, Casper, also a BLM Site.  Where the Road Ends and the West Begins, is a great museum about the on the&nbsp;<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Oregon<\/mark><\/strong>, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">California<\/mark><\/strong>, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Mormon<\/mark><\/strong> and <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Pony Express Trails<\/mark>.<\/strong>&nbsp;We lucked out, visiting on a day with a living history exhibit outside!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Fort Casper &amp; Museum<\/mark><\/strong>, a military post of the US Army in present-day Wyoming, named after 2nd Lieutenant Caspar Collins, a U.S. Army officer, killed in the 1865 Battle of the Platte Bridge Station against the Lakota and Cheyenne<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-delay=\"5\" data-effect=\"slide\"><div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_container swiper-container\"><ul class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_swiper-wrapper
