Actually camping at a KOA on the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Mormon Pioneer, Oregon, California, and Pony Express Trails!<\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During our 4 days in Vernal, Utah, we took 4 day trips to<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Dinosaur National Monument<\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/mark><\/strong>(#178), where we saw lots of <mark style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><font color=\"#090d8e\"><b>Dinosaurs, Fossils, Petroglyphs, and Spectacular <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Geology<\/mark><\/strong><\/b><\/font><\/mark>.  We also saw some old Homesteads on the Green River, far from anywhere, even now.  And did I mention the <strong>Mormon Crickets<\/strong>???  According to Wikipedia, &#8220;<em>When a large band crosses a road, it can create a safety hazard by causing <strong>distracted revulsion<\/strong> on the part of the driver, and by causing the road surface to become slick with crushed crickets<\/em>.&#8221;  We have now been there, done that, driving the Harper Corner Road!  Gail did a LOT of driving on 1 lane dirt roads, even one 2,500&#8242; drop (and return) in 2 miles, on Echo Park Road!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" (through a sleet storm!) and spent yesterday at <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Fossil Butte National Monument<\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/mark><\/strong>(#179), also full of <mark style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><font color=\"#090d8e\"><b>Fossils and Spectacular <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Geology<\/mark><\/strong><\/b><\/font><\/mark>. Where as, Dinosaur has LOTS of BIG Dinosaur Fossils, Fossil Butte is most famous for its Fish Fossils!
