Mark had an idea that it related to the American Expansion West. We learned a lot, visiting the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area<\/mark><\/strong>, over the last 3 days. It includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yumaprison.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yuma Territorial Prison State Historical Park<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coloradoriverpark.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colorado River State Historical Park<\/a>, two riverfront parks on either side of Yuma Crossing, and Pivot Plaza with interpretive signs telling many stories of Yuma Crossing and&#8230;a big <strong>Train Engine!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default including 7 miles of dirt road) to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.castledomemuseum.org\/cd-about.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Castle Dome Mine Museum<\/a>, to learn about the galena mining done in the area.  Spent a couple of hours there, but did not take the tour into the mine.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Final note, it is warmer in Yuma, a little, for a little while.
