So, it only barely &#8220;counted&#8221; as state visit a at all.  That has been rectified!  And&#8230;no more snow&#8230;actually above 70<sup>o<\/sup> every day! Colonel George Armstrong Custer led the 7th US Cavalry on a surprise dawn attack on a Cheyenne village led by Peace Chief Black Kettle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Chickasaw National Recreation Area<\/mark><\/strong> (#196), an Oklahoma Oasis, with springs, streams and lakes.  We spent a long day, visiting various locations.  We hiked along Travertine Creek and by a few springs, made a relaxing stop at Buckhorn Beach on Lake of the Arbuckles, and walked around Veterans Lake.  By days end, we&#8217;d hiked ~10 miles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Oklahoma City National Memorial<\/mark><\/strong> <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">&amp; Museum<\/mark><\/strong>.  The Memorial was serene, with a lot of meaningful symbolism, eg. an orchard of state trees (Redbud) representing Oklahoma volunteers who helped in the aftermath of the bombing and other trees representing all the people that came from elsewhere.  The Museum was awesome. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-delay=\"5\" data-effect=\"slide\"><div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_container swiper-container\"><ul class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_swiper-wrapper swiper-wrapper\"><li class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_slide
