We spent most of our time (3 days) hanging out in camp , what with the rain and all.  OK.  That&#8217;s only 2 days in camp for Mark, who went boating on the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Popponesset Bay<\/mark><\/strong> with an old RSE Brother, while Gail slept all day to shake off a bad cold!  We started our visit with 2 sunny days in Boston and yesterday we drove all the way up to <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Provincetown<\/mark><\/strong>, with some stops along the way.  We did <strong>NOT<\/strong> know it was <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Carnival Week<\/mark><\/strong> until we got there.  <strong>THAT<\/strong> explained the traffic (and a few other things)!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only three days &#8220;touring&#8221;, but that included expensive parking, quite a bit of walking, 2 nice dinners in the North End of Boston, one nice dinner on the water in Provincetown, and&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visited <mark style=\"font-weight: bold; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); color: rgb(29, 106, 6);\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>2<\/strong><\/mark> new <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">National Park Sites<\/mark><\/strong> and <mark style=\"font-weight: bold; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); color: rgb(29, 106, 6);\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>2<\/strong><\/mark> revisits:    <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Boston African American National Historic Site<\/mark><\/strong> (#211), where we took a Ranger Walk along on the north slope of Beacon Hill, where the African American community of 1800s Boston led the city and the nation in the fight against slavery and injustice. These remarkable men and women, together with their allies, were leaders in the Abolition Movement, the Underground Railroad, the Civil War, and the early struggle for equal rights and education.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/articles\/000\/plan-like-a-park-ranger-top-10-tips-for-visiting-george-washington-carver-nm.htm\"><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Boston National Historical Park<\/mark><\/strong> (#12-Revisit), where we walked a bit of the Freedom Trail, visited Fanueil Hall and King&#8217;s Chapel Burying Ground, and took a tour of the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#046969\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Massachusetts State Capitol<\/mark><\/strong> (#1-Revisit).<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/articles\/000\/plan-like-a-park-ranger-top-10-tips-for-visiting-george-washington-carver-nm.htm\"><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Boston Harbor Islands National Recreational Area<\/mark><\/strong> (#212), which we visited via 2 boat trips.  The first was to Georges Island, where we had a couple of hours to explore Fort Warren. In the later afternoon, we took another cruise to see the three Lighthouse in Boston Harbor:  <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Long Island Head Light<\/mark><\/strong>, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Boston Light<\/mark><\/strong>, and <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Graves Light<\/mark><\/strong>.  It was kind of &#8220;fun&#8221; watching planes take off from Logan over our heads, especially on the 2nd cruise where there were LOTS of sailboats out with their spinnakers flying.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Cape Cod National Seashore<\/mark><\/strong> (#112-Revisit), where we took a couple of short hikes around <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Pilgrim Heights <\/mark><\/strong>and visited <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Highland Light (Cape Cod Light)<\/mark><\/strong>, <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">N<\/mark><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">auset Light<\/mark><\/strong>, and <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">the Three Sisters.<\/mark><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/articles\/000\/plan-like-a-park-ranger-top-10-tips-for-visiting-george-washington-carver-nm.htm\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow
