We&#8217;re also in the land of high tide ranges, i.e. close to the Bay of Fundy (highest tidal range in the world).  Lubec averages 15-17 feet?  Special campground, on Johnson Bay, where the sun sets directly behind Lizzy at night.  [We missed visiting Cobstock Bay State Park (tide averages 24 feet and can reach 28 feet), as it was closed for cleanup from Storm Lee.]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow style=\"color:#730202\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">National Park Visits<\/mark><\/strong> <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>While here, we spent an afternoon visiting <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">San Croix Island International Historic Site<\/mark><\/strong> (#213), where the French first tried colonization in North America.  We broke the halfway point for visiting National Parks (425 as of July).  We then spent the better part of 2 days visiting <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Roosevelt Campobello International Historic Park<\/mark><\/strong>, over the FDR Bridge from Lubec, Maine, on Campobello Island, New Brunswick. Another country, but only 3 miles from our campsite.  It is the only park in the world jointly managed by 2 countries (Canada and the US).
