We had a lovely family weekend, with included <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Mark&#8217;s 1st <\/mark>&amp;<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#090d8e\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> 2nd 70th Bday Parties<\/mark><\/strong>:  dinner on the beach in Belmar with family &amp; a few close friends on Friday, family gathering <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">with<\/span> the grandkids <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and<\/span> Hoffman&#8217;s ice cream cake on Saturday!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#090d8e\"><strong>Second stop, Richmond, Virginia<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly enough, Richmond, was our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">first stop<\/span> on our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">first long Airstream Trip<\/span>, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/streaming2nps.com\/?p=1561\">Winter of 2018<\/a>,  staying in the same place, Pocahontas State Park.  Again, we visited Mark&#8217;s RSE friends John &amp; Ann.  This time we <strong>FINALLY<\/strong> visited the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#046969\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Virginia State Capitol, Richmond<\/mark><\/strong> (#31), designed by Thomas Jefferson!  We also made a short stop at the Tredegar Iron Works Visitor Center of the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#1d6a06\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Richmond National Battlefield Park<\/mark><\/strong>, one of our favorite National Parks.  There we caught up a bit with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.battlefields.org\/contributors\/robert-m-dunkerly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bert Dunkerl<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.battlefields.org\/contributors\/robert-m-dunkerly\">y<\/a>, a National Park Ranger from whom we took many tours during the Civil War Sesquicentennial, and author of several books and articles on the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.   Bert was one of 2 Richmond National Battlefield Park Rangers from whom we took many tours (2013-2015, not all at Richmond) and began to feel like Groupies.  Hopefully we&#8217;ll catch up with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.civilwarrichmond.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mike Gorman<\/a> another time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure this time was short, just a couple of days, because, 1) we need to get to Charleston, SC before November 10, to fly home for a month, and 2) right now we are&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
