State Visits
We have visited 49 States Together (& Washington DC), missing only Alaska. Individually…
- Mark has visited and spent the night in all 50 States (#50 Nebraska)
- Gail has visited and spent the night in 49 States (all but Alaska).
State Capitol Tours
We took our 1st State Capitol Tour in Boston, while touring the Freedom Trail in 2006. We didn’t take another until 2016, when we toured the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln, because the architect was Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue. Goodhue also designed Mark’s fraternity house (Rensselaer Society of Engineers (RSE) Clubhouse, on the National Registry of Historic Places.) We loved the tour, for the architecture & art, the building history, and the state history. That’s when we decided to tour every State Capitol, although we didn’t get to #3 until 2018, when we started touring with Lizzy. More at State Capitol Tours.
State Camping
In 2017, we bought Lizzy and The Beast. So, of course, we also have to track the 1st time we camp in each State, as well. More at Lizzy Campgrounds.
