In 2017, we finally Did It! We got Lizzy & The Beast!
In 2018, we spent almost 5 months living in Lizzy on trips, and selling Mark’s house, making us “officially” no longer a bi-coastal Couple!
In 2019, we took several trips and began Life-on-the-Road in the fall.
2017 – 1st Airstream Trip
We finally did it! We bought The Beast and Lizzy!
We picked up The Beast in May, and then ordered Lizzy. We had just picked her up, in August, and were putting Mark’s Jersey Shore home on the market, when he got a detached retina. So…we delayed selling the house (for a year), and postponed our first trip with Lizzy & The Beast to a “simple” dry run to Massachusetts and New York in October.

2018 – Longer Trips with Lizzy
First Full Year with Lizzy!
We took our first long (2 months) trip with Lizzy in February/March, making it back to NJ for Mark’s son’s wedding in late April. We attended our first National Park Travelers Club Convention in July, on another longish trip with Lizzy. Meanwhile Mark’s Jersey Shore home, of 34 years, sold. In September/October, we “officially” moved Mark to Washington on Lizzy‘s 1st X-Country trip. After a couple of months of integrating “Mark’s stuff” into “Gail’s House”, we flew to the NE to spend Xmas/New Years with family.

2019 – Exploring the NW (&NE)
Big Year for travel! Really getting to know Lizzy!
During the winter, spring, and summer, we took several Lizzy Trips and Road Trips exploring the Northwest, and one Trip to the Northeast. By the end of August, we had visited all the National Parks in Oregon, Washington and Connecticut. In September, we declared our “official start” to Life-on-the-Road, and headed south, to the Bay Area. In November, we left Lizzy in the Bay Area, and headed home with The Beast, for the holidays.
