And visits with old friends

We have a few “Old RPI Friends” in the Bay Area, so we always have to stop somewhere around here, when in the area. This time we chose Half Moon Bay. It’s over the coastal range from our friends and distincly colder, but it was nice for our last day to get in a walk along the coast, right from our campsite. We saw Jan & family in Morgan Hill and Bill & Judith in Palo Alto and Half Moon Bay (and Bill joined us for the Giants Game.)

Attended a game at 1 new MLB Ballpark
  • Millwaukee Brewers @ San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park (#19)
Coolish, windy, afternoon game. Met Bill in Palo Alto and took Caltrain into the city. It was a pretty exciting game. Brewers were in the lead for most of the game, until the 8th inning. Gail was excited (and emotional) to see Mike Yastremski play. He got a home run and got a hit to drive in the tying run in the 8th! (Mike is the grandson of Carl Yastremski, Gail’s favorite Red Sox player.) Final Score: 6-5 Giants
And a 5.5 mile walk along the coast

We lucked out. The only day we only hung out around Half Moon Bay was the only day it wasn’t totally cloudy/foggy.

Off for HOME!!!
