And Hello to her 2025 replacement
We’ll drive it a while, before actually picking a name (or not…maybe just The Beast Too?!?) Anyway, we traded in The Beast (2017 Silverado 2500 HD) for The Beast Too (2025 Silverado 2500 HD) last Friday. We’re still figuring out all her new and relocated controls, displays, storage, etc. and getting used to her slightly larger size…20″ longer, 1.4″ wider, 1.5″ higher. Note, Travel Truck & Trailer Specs have been updated (including a side-by-side comparison key The Beast Too specs with The Beast specs)

There are lots of new optics with the 2025 Display…Wide Screen Map, Heads Up Display, so many more cameras, for enhanced visibility and…Digital Rear View Mirror?!?!? And…how DO they use those cameras to give us the birds-eye view when going in reverse?!?
One upgrade we’re excited about, we won’t be checking out until August…the Trailering Camera System, which will allow us to “see through” the trailer when towing (utilizing that Digital Rear View Mirror, eh?). We still have to procure the compatible trailer backup camera, install it on Lizzy, and put ~1,000 miles on The Beast Too. We don’t want to tow with her until then.

Well, now that we’re getting a sense of just how much bigger the 2025 is,
I’ve started calling her Big Beast!
