1,123 Miles, ~20 hours driving (~10 hours each), in 4 Days
It is NOT our “normal” travel habit to move Lizzy even 2 days-in-a-row, let alone 4. Nor do we regularly drive more than 250 miles in a single day, let alone 3 of 4 days in a row. We also rarely stay at Harvest Host1 locations, as they are generally for one night only. We actually stayed at 3 the last 3 nights:
The Funny Farm Homestead, in Cheney, Washington, where we did no shopping, just made a donation, but, we got to visit the bunnies and the 3-day-old piglets!

The SoJo Norwegian Ranch, in Missoula, Montana, where we visited with the golden Labs and did some “grocery” shopping…farm fresh eggs, huckleberry jam, and both beet & cucumber relish!

Yellowstone Cellars and Winery, Billings, Montana, where we had Happy Hour dinner on their patio on a pleasant, warm evening. Although Friday is a live music night, we pretty much missed it. That was a 355 mile day, so we had an early night (camped in the parking lot next door).

And why the “Mad Dash”?
To…”kick start” our trip east…gotta make that 50th RPI Reunion!!!
And today, day 4, we made it to Medora, North Dakota!
We’ve been wanting to return here, since we first visited in October 2014. This time, we are “in season” to see Medora, the Musical and still have plenty of time to revisit Theodore Roosevelt National Park…5 nights! (Note…this is our 43rd state to camp in with Lizzy.)
