After 2 Months at home
We spent our time at home, mostly on the “usual”…friends, family, Mark’s Birthday (Gail made him Baked Alaska!), Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas, New Years, doctors, dentists and getting rid of more stuff. Mark went fishing for steelhead in Canada with his fishing buddy Duane, Gail finally visited the Issaquah Troll, Jakob Two Trees (by Thomas Dambo) with Jeri & Sandra, and we both attended the first ever home game of the Seattle Torrent (Women’s Professional Hockey) and A Very Die Hard Christmas (AKA Die Hard the Musical…minimalistic set…it was a HOOT!)
Note that “getting rid of more stuff” included some old pictures of Gails (she scanned those worth keeping), giving her a trip down memory lane. Some are included here for entertainment purposes, e.g. HS Junior Prom1970, rock climbing1978, attempting Mount Rainier1978, on the deck of her Lake Union Apartment in Seattle1983.

And…2 Weeks on the Jersey Shore
One week with Alyson joining us. Time with grandkids (including Xmas gifts & swims in our hotel pool), walking on the boardwalk & buzzing the beach), driving in the snow, visiting old NJ friends, time in NYC & Jersey City (even took the Liberty Ferry between them with Alyson) and some just plain down time resting up at our hotel, Mark taking online classes, Gail making our travel reservations further into 2026!

Off to pick up Lizzy!
Made it to Charleston yesterday. Picked up The Brute (which started easy peasy), unpacked some stuff into Lizzy, and spent a night in a hotel getting some much needed sleep (Very early flight to SC). Going back to the storage place shortly, to pick up Lizzy and head to our Charleston campground.
PREVIOUS Traveling Where Now? . . . . . NEXT Traveling Where Now?

Baked Alaska is one of my all time favorite desserts. What flavor of ice cream did you use. I personally love it with coffee ice cream.

Marble Cake with Neapoliton Ice Cream. We had our first on my birtday in Alaska.
That was all vanilla. Then in Skagway we had one made with a Belgian Waffle,
Rasberry sauce, and vanilla ice cream.
