Mark Family & Friend Visits
It is now warm enough for shorts, on the west coast of Florida. Our short stop started with a visit to Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, where we walked the 1.2 mile boardwalk and saw an alligator, several turtles, and lots of birds. We must have spent 20+ minutes watching a pileated woodpecker munching on bugs in a dead tree, just 6-8 feet in front of us!

We then had dinner with Mark’s cousin Mary and her husband Gary in Fort Myers Beach on Tuesday and lunch with his RSE friend Bob and wife Nancy in Naples yesterday. We had lovely visits with both.

We must give a shout out to Bob, for giving us a name for our new truck which truly resonates. He took one look and said “That’s a monster!”
That’s it! Finally. The Monster! (The Beast 2, Beastie, and The Brute are henceforth all retired.) Note, this was after we checked out his Datsun 240Z, which he’s owned 50 years.
Off for Bradenton…more visits with friends

glad you got to warmer and snowless weather. Love the West Coast, had a friend I used to stay with is FtMyers, She lived at Shell Point, a very lovely retirement community. She took me too tht reserve I think and also to Ding Darling and that was great, have you been there?
My niece retired in Sarasota Walgreens so can’t have you say high for me., Is your friend still at the beautiful botanical gardens there?
Lots of good fish down there.
Just getting to drive after my eyelid surgery but te snow banks are a challenge.
Have fun,
