Mazama Campground

Mazama Campsite

Our #150 National Park Together, one we’ve been wanting to visit for awhile. We’re staying at Mazama Campground, ~7 zig-zaggy miles south of (and 1,000′ below) the Rim of Crater Lake. We had a bit of “fun” getting Lizzy set up. We have a Pull-Through site, but…it’s a semi-circle, so…it was…challenging? Tricky to get all 50’+ straight in the site. Got help from the guy at the next site, to back it in. He and his daughter are on a “Volcanoes National Park” Camping trip for a week.

Cooking dinner at Mazama

We’ll be here 5 nights, plenty of time to drive around the lake on Rim Drive, and to do some hiking. Michael & Kathy will be joining us tomorrow for a couple of days. We’ll be taking our planned Boat Tour with them on Tuesday.

This stop is in Adventure Album: 2019 Central Oregon
(and NPS Album: Crater Lake National Park)
