Salinas / Monterey KOA

Leaving Jan’s

We said goodbye to Jan and the “kids” (and the dogs, cats, cattle, deer, turkeys…), and got back on the road with Lizzy again. Didn’t go far, just 30 miles down the road to Prunedale, where we’ll be staying a week. We’ll be back to Jan’s next weekend, for the Superbowl!

The campground is “interesting”. It’s almost all pavement and our site is on a hill, with a ledge we had to back over with “low clearance” Lizzy to get set up. Small spot, with “Privacy Hedges”.

We are just a few miles north of Salinas, and only a half hours drive from Monterey and Carmel-By-The-Sea. YEAH! Haven’t been in years. And…we primarily picked this spot for its proximity to Pinnacles National Park! About 90 minutes away, we hope to visit a couple of times (and stop by Oil of Paicines).

We are documenting this Adventure in: SoCal Coast
