Leavenworth / Pine Village KOA
We are at the KOA in the Bavarian-styled town in the central Cascades of Washington, for a 5 night / 4 day family vacation. We got here yesterday before dark. After setting up, Mark had an RSE Meeting, and Gail drove the whole mile into Leavenworth to pick up a Bavarian take-out…Schnitzel Cordon Bleu and Jagerschnitzel “Swiss Style”. It took longer to find a place to park, than to get there!
It’s cold in the mountains! Aside from the snow on the ground, it dropped to 25 last night. Our water froze, because the outlet we used for the hose heater wasn’t HOT! DUH! It’s not supposed to drop below freezing again this week, and will even break 60 during the day, later in the week.
Alyson will be joining us today, for the rest of the week, her last vacation this year! We plan to visit Leavenworth, eat more German food, maybe a day hike, and spend family time just hanging out and playing games. But no float trips on the Wenatchee River!!!

Note, I didn’t say we didn’t have the tools to check the power. Said tool were just not used! However, in Mark’s defense, there is power in the pedestal, which is powering everything in Lizzy, but apparently just a bad GFI Outlet.

I found that a circuit tester does not work if it stays in the toolbox. Imagine that!
