Wrapped up Touring in Idaho
Got to Maryhill State Park, Washington on Monday. Spending a few days just relaxing and recuperating on the Columbia River. (Yes, that is Gail wading in the Columbia, above.) WHAT a whirlwind trip this has been…and hot…even here on the Columbia!
We spent the 10 previous nights at 4 locations in southern Idaho: Almo, Arco, Twin Falls, and Boise. We visited one new National Park (our last one in Idaho) and revisited 3 others: City of Rocks National Preserve (#181), Craters of the Moon National Monument & Reserve (#134 &135-Revisit), Minidoka National Historic Site (#98-Revisit), and Hagerman Fossil National Monument (#99-Revisit). We first visited Craters of the Moon in October 2018, with snow on the ground. And when we visited Minidoka and Hagerman Fossil, in October 2016, they shared a small downtown Hagerman storefront Visitor Center (and there was snow).
Off for home tomorrow!
