Gila Bend KOA Journey
What a difference 300 miles makes! It’s 15 degrees hotter and lots drier, although it is supposed to rain in the desert tomorrow.
Bottom line…we’ve made it to Arizona. We’ll be at Gila Bend 3 nights, hanging out, a little exploring, doing laundry? We did make it in time for the sunset and a lecture on local archaeology and the Hohokam…Ancient Sonoran Desert People.
UPDATE, Saturday…Yes, we make it to Arizona and the Sonoran Desert, in time to see the first rain since we left, Seattle, over a month ago…and we got to listen to it overnight. You and me and Rain On The Roof!
