Overview
We flew Seattle to/from Newark for a 3-week summer visit, mostly with family:
- 8 days staying with Gail’s family on Lake Lashaway in Massachusetts
- 8 days staying with Mark’s son Jeff-V & Sam on the Jersey Shore
- 4 days in Newark/NYC, including an RSE Meeting for Mark.
Highlights
In Massachusetts, we stayed with Nicky on Lake Lashaway, saw lots of family (Brothers Brian-W & Bruce-W, Cousin Lee-Ann, Nieces Caitlin, Emily-W, Jenny-W, Olivia). Gail did a 5K walk at Old Sturbridge Village.
In New Jersey, we both did the Belmar 5. We helped do some work on Jeff & Sam’s new house (like paint the Guest Room, fix some electrical, and strip wallpaper in the hall.) And visited with Kathy-S & Mike on our visit to Paterson
We also visited 5 National Parks in 4 States:

New England “Intellectuals” National Parks- Weir Farm National Historic Site (#144), Connecticut
- One of the
New Jersey National Parks- Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park (#145), New Jersey
- Two of the
National Parks of New York Harbor, New York- Stonewall National Monument (#146)
- Governors Island National Monument (#147)
